Take note of time change for tonight’s stadium show, how to watch live online

With inclement weather forecasted for tonight, the jamboree’s closing stadium show will take place several hours earlier.

As first reported in this Jamboree Today story, the show will begin with a preshow at 3 p.m. Eastern and continue with the main show from 4 to 6 p.m. Eastern time.

As you may have heard by now, the show will feature a concert from rock band 3 Doors Down, in addition to lots of other surprises I can’t reveal here.

Even if you’re not at the Summit attending, visiting or staffing the 2013 National Jamboree, you can enjoy the fun from your computer, tablet or smartphone. Just go to jambolive.org and watch the live stream from home. Please note that the musical act is not allowing their portion to be streamed online.

More than 190,000 watched Tuesday’s opening show on jambolive.org, and stadium show staffers are expecting an even better turnout for tonight’s show — both online and in person.

The website also plans to post full archived videos of both the opening and closing shows soon.

  1. Certainly hope they have cleaned up the stream since the opening. It was very choppy and most of the time out of focus.

  2. Any information for visitors today? My tickets say the summit center opens at noon but this post says that all program areas close at noon in order to prepare for the show. I hope we still get to see things today other than the show…

    • It’s the weather. It’s been bad all week. My son had a reservation for a 3-hour “curriculum” doing the zip-line canopy tour, and they cancelled the entire afternoon that day due to lightning. He and a all the scouts who also had curriculum that day lost out. No makeups.

  3. Good Cal,l Bryan! Everyone else – Chill out! “A scout is cheerful. He smiles whenever he can. His obedience to orders is prompt and cheery. He never shirks nor grumbles at hardships”.

The Jamboree is an OUTDOOR event. Adjustments because of weather and safety are a given.

    • “Cancellation” isn’t really the same as “adjustment.” Putting aside that no one who commented needed to “chill out” since no one was angry, either way money down the drain isn’t anything for most people to be cheerful about.

  4. The weather sure has made things difficult at this Jamboree – and while I did hear complaints here and there, particularly in regards to communication with visitors, the SCOUTS still seem to be having a GREAT time, and that’s what REALLY matters!
