This month, we’re rolling out a fresh gear giveaway with a new twist: Instead of simply entering for a chance to win, readers must first investigate the Scouting magazine Archives to answer an elusive question.

Just like Scouting magazine, Stanley is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. To kick off the bottle maker’s centennial, Stanley released a special 100th anniversary edition of its classic, steel-body thermos that holds 1 liter of fluid—keeping it hot or cold for up to 24 hours!

    That’s my hometown! I remember as a kid going by the old Stanley works building and my dad telling me about it…

  2. Bryan, ever since I entered my first of these contests some time ago, the system prevents me from entering any other contest. I have followed all the instructions to correct “problems, gone through the process of changing my password, and yet nothing works and I keep getting the same problem messages even after I’ve gone through the steps to take care of the problem. I don’t know what is going on, I’m no computer whiz, but this is sure frustrating. Furthermore, If this problem were ever solved, I have since moved, have a new address and phone number, and I suspect I would just be going through the same “there is a problem with your entry” pages that would continue to prevent submitting an entry with my new address. Don’t know if anything can be done, but in my opinion, the fact that I’ve tried going through the system to correct and change information and nothing is changed, I don’t see this system as very user friendly.
