Video: Pip from ‘The Voice’ sings the National Anthem

Earlier this month, I mentioned that Pip wowed the crowd at the BSA’s National Annual Meeting with his rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Now you can see what all the fuss was about.

Pip Arnold, the Eagle Scout who snagged the spotlight on The Voice, received rave reviews from the gathering of volunteers and professionals in Orlando.

Here’s the video, courtesy of Tim Lawler and his team:

His time on The Voice is over, but his music career is just beginning.

Follow him on Twitter or help him start his first album by contributing to his Kickstarter campaign.

He’s already reached the $26,000 funding threshold, but you can back his project until Sunday, June 17.

What do you think?

How did you like Pip’s performance?

  1. That is nice Pipp ole boy but I sang The National Anthem in front of thousands and around the world on the internet at a professional baseball game May 27th of this year. Not bad for a 57 year old Scouter. Ta Ta.

    • Mike – one upmanship shows a lack of class here. If you truly are a Scouter then you might listen a little more to the boys in your unit. You’d be surprised what you might learn from them.
      Pip – Great job!

  2. Very nice, but am still one that prefers the actual tune, rather than all the vibrato’s and slightly altered notes. We had a young Venture girl of about 17 sing it at our Eagle banquet last month. She hit every note perfectly, her diction was precise and pronunciation exact; but she followed the original tune. It was the first time in a long while that I actually got a chill up my spine from hearing the song. Still, Pip is an exceptional talent and likely will do well in his future.

  3. Good voice BUT I do not like when they do not sing it how it is written. This is our Countrys National Anthem do not change it.
