Relive a fun, frustrating Indy 500 weekend for the BSA Motorsports team

A Scout is Loyal.

So it made sense that BSA IndyCar driver Alex Lloyd, after finishing 19th at the Indianapolis 500, wasted no time in complimenting his teammates in a Twitter post.

He didn’t complain, as so many sports personalities do these days.

He simply noted that the “BSA guys worked hard all month.”

Lloyd, who was a Scout while growing up in the United Kingdom, advanced 11 spots from his 30th-place starting position to finish 19th. But he said Sunday was a “frustrating day” for his Dale Coyne Racing team. “[We] didn’t have the speed,” he wrote.

Dan Wheldon — also from the U.K. — took the checkered flag in an exciting finish that you have to see to believe. So watch this video if you haven’t already seen it.

Then check out the slideshow above to relive the weekend through the eyes of the Lloyd and the BSA Motorsports crew.

BSA photographer Roger Morgan took all of the excellent photos seen below.
